This is a complete revision of mewing.net.
Mewing.net has, though varying in specific form and content, been the same for four years. It has been very detailed and very involved and has served at times as a reference volume and a user's manual for those who wanted to become close to me. It was a novel idea to have such a thing. As an admitted narcissist, I enjoyed it. A lot.
However, it came time to do something else. I tired of having everything about myself available on the internet. There's something to be said for mystery.
So I decided that I needed to, if not completely remove the website, drastically remake it in a way so that it would be not so literally a presentation of myself. I cringed at the idea of having everything laid out so neatly. Baby pictures and poems and facts about friends. Those are things about myself that I've decided are not necessary for everyone to know.
What's here now is also not necessary, but is a little less didactic, if a little more personal. Also a little less
old. Some of the stuff on the old site was written as many as ten years ago. What I have here now is a collection of fairly recent writings. Most of them were written in a moleskine while riding the 1 train or the L train late at night, circa November 2005 to January 2006. Some of them were written in a moleskine while riding various buses around Brooklyn circa January-February 2006. Some of them--including the more formal ones, the final three--were just written in my room.
I am not certain that reading these will really tell you anything you want to know about me. There is still a
mercifully small fact section for the unsatisfied. Regardless, I present to you these writings. That's what you get. This is the kind of website that I need to have now. Small, self-contained, a bit more cryptic, and graphically minimal.
I hope you don't hate it too much.
